Money and conflicts: Signers for: Yolanda Simental (nurse), Rich Sessler (fire chief), Judy D. White (small business owner), Don Averill (citizens' oversight committee member), Richard Jaramillo (trades graduate). An oversight committee member signing for a new bond is worth noting, since the committee's job is to check the district's spending. [4]
Does it solve a lasting problem? Aging buildings and trade-training space are real needs. But the district hasn't finished spending its 2018 bond, and repayment runs more than 30 years for buildings with shorter useful lives. Before voting, ask for the oversight committee's list of finished Measure CC projects and their final costs.
